Project Description

We conducted a regional housing study and Fair Housing Equity Assessment (FHEA) to support the Sustainable Communities Grant received by the Denver Regional Council of Governments (DRCOG). We examined the distribution of housing types and prices, estimated gaps in housing and access to opportunity by county, and recommended a menu of options for DRCOG to consider as it incorporates housing planning into transportation planning.

This study helped the region take a first step into regional housing planning, which would grow in importance as housing affordability pressures increased.
