Project Description
With our frequent partner, International Development and Planning, we are conducted an AI for the City of Memphis and Shelby County. This study involved an analysis of historical and current patterns of discrimination and segregation; an analysis of private and public actions that may contribute to fair housing barriers; engagement with stakeholders; and a resident survey.
Year: 2018
Unique aspect of study
The study highlighted the intersection of historic patterns of segregation and present-day disparities in housing needs and access to economic opportunity. The regional fair housing goals were designed to address direct and indirect barriers to fair housing choice through city and county actions as well as strategic partnership opportunities.
