Project Description
This study, completed in 2019, was led by Mollie Fitzpatrick and quantified the demand for child care in Clear Creek County. It focused not only on licensed childcare but childcare options across the spectrum and included an extensive community survey along with licensed provider interviews and non-licensed provider focus groups to assess barriers in providing and accessing care countywide. The demand projections accounted for changes in supply of childcare over time and potential policy changes that might increase demand for childcare and ECE.
Year: 2019
unIQUE ASPECT OF THE PROJECT
Due to limited childcare options in the county combined with affordability challenges, the average family utilizing childcare in Clear Creek relied on at least two different types of non-parent care in order to meet their childcare needs.
