Project Description
We prepared a Four Factor Analysis for the state to ensure compliance with federal language access requirements. We began with an analysis of Census data to identify Limited English Proficiency (LEP) populations and supplemented this with the state’s assessment of the most frequently requested program materials.

More than 200,000 Indiana residents (3% of all residents) speak English “less than very well.” Of those, 120,000 speak Spanish, 35,500 speak Other Indo-European languages, 37,500 speak Asian and Pacific Island languages, and 7,000 speak other languages.
