Montrose Child Care Needs Assessment

Root Policy assisted Bright Futures for Early Childhood and Families and the Uncompahgre Valley Alliance in better understanding childcare and early childhood education needs and choices among families living and working in Montrose County. The primary objective of this project was to conduct a survey of families to explore childcare/ECE preferences, options, tradeoffs, and choices in the area. The Root team bolstered the survey analysis with interviews and focus groups with both licensed and non-licensed childcare providers as well as with additional data analysis to quantify overall childcare demand both in the present and in the future.
