Project Description
Root Policy conducted research that pinpointed housing needs across income ranges, and tenure, in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic across the entire Yuma County. To explore real time impacts of the pandemic, Root Policy conducted extensive resident engagement including a resident survey and resident focus groups in both English and Spanish. The project also evaluated needs and demand relative to the programs funded and allowed by HOME block grants.

Unique Aspect of this Project
Yuma County has many unique demographic aspects that affect housing and community development needs—agricultural workers, seasonal visitors, students, and military personnel. Our study considered the unique needs of each.
